in this post i’m going to show you some off the photos of the animals i took in game. these are some of the pic i consider the best.
so?what do you think?i personally think this game presents the most realistic graphic to date. at a glance it look like a real photo of animals, not just from a game.
does his picture look real to you?well, if you see the the IGN logo on the lower right you probably knew that this was a computer generated picture. but what if the logo wasn’t there?you probably wouldn’t have guessed that this is just an ingame picture taken from a video game.
that’s right, this was a screen shot from the PS3 game “Afrika” (“Hakuna Matata”). this game features a VERY realistic looking animal. a very good game for people who loved animal and photography. have i mentioned that in this game we’re supposed to take pictures of the various animal that live in africa?no?well, i guess i was too excited to show you the pic then 
OK, so in this game we are a photographer (probably surveyor, not sure ) tasked to the wilderness of africa. at first we were only given a very lousy camera to take the pictures of animal there, but as you progress better camera are unlocked. well, the cameras aside (cos i don’t know anything about them , for me new unlocked camera = better zoom and photo result). the animals (which is our object in this game) is very realistic, i really enjoyed watching them wander around, grazing, playing etc. all of them looked very realistic. even if you zoomed in to them on the camera, the texture and skin of the animal looked real (didn’t have any pixel look, etc).
the missions given in this game are also very enjoyable, mostly we are tasked with taking photos of animal in various poses and activity and that includes hunting (my favourite). when you wait for just the right moment to push the camera button is just….very exciting!!!
this is such a relaxed game suited for every age. and also a good change of pace of the every day racing, shooting, fighting, or whatever game. it was such breakthrough in game genre. i didn’t regret buying this game, although it was already 2 years past. plus, it was a good source of animal info for my nephew and niece :p
OK, no game is perfect so let’s talk about the downside of this game. one complaint was the animal was “patterned”, go to any site, any time of the day (in game, of course) and you will find the same animal there. another thing is i find that traveling to the site which the animal is found can be boring sometimes, you get to see the plains with the animal (which was always in the same position every time you leave the base camp) over and over without anything to mix it up (e.g. never rain). and 1 last thing is the game doesn’t have ANY voice over, is it too much to put a few spoken lines?just a “jambo!” or whatever would be good.
well, that’s about my review of this game. now i’m going to finish this game, and teach my nephew n niece something about animal :p (they never went to zoo before).

well, again i’ve slacking off in writing an entry here.
this time, i’m going to report on the results of going to the gym(again).
well, to be honest i’m quite surprised myself at the result…i’ve joined the gym for almost 2 months and i’ve lost weight much more than i thought was possible. the most amazing result was in the first month, i’ve lost about 3 or 4 kilogram (initial weight was 91kg). this was very satisfying, considering i wasn’t following any diet program whatsoever, all i did was going to the gym regularly and eat like normal (just a eating less in term of quantity).
i even didn’t hire PT (personal Trainer), i just joined the RPM class every time i went to the gym. i guess that class really burn off A LOT of calorie. now, i weight around 86kg.
this is more than enough reason to continue going to the gym 
so i decided to join the gym(again) to lose some weight (btw,my the fat % is about 20 something). this time i decided to joina more expensive gym to push myself to work out regularly( because of the price…it’s stupid not to work out regularly).
this is the first week of my work out. and the result is…….my WHOLE BODY is ACHING….starting from my legs, arms, chest, even stomach (OUCCCHHHHH……….) i guess this is the result of never having ANY excersice for years (except for finger excercise, e.g playing games). regarding the stomach pain, i even afraid to cough coz by coughing my stomach muscle is stimulated resulting in more pain. god….i hope my body adjusted quickly so my body won’t hurt by exercises.
speaking of my body aches, the interesting thing is i seem to sometimes enjoy the pain (weird, huh?). sometimes i deliberately move the muscle just to experience the pain again. was this done to prove that i am still alive by feeling pain?or am i just a bit masochist (hell no!!!) ?
lately, i’ve been into classical music. especially by Chopin. this is most probably influenced by the game Eternal Sonata, which i’m currently playing. in this game the lead character is Frederic Chopin who was facing his tubercolusis and is facing his death. while he was sleeping in his bed, with his wife(?) and doctor beside him he had a dream of being in the world of eternal sonata. at first he was sure what he’s seeing is only his dream, but as his advanture continues he began to think this dream is indeed a reality. after all is your dream is real enough that you can feel the pain and happiness in your dream, will you still be able to distinguish which is real and which is a dream?
so, because of this game i started to find more info and melody composed by Chopin. the songs, which was made into the game’s chapter name is very good. the titles are : The Revolutionary Etude (Etude Op. 10, No. 12); Raindrop (Prelude No. 15 in D Flat); Fantaisie impromptu (Op. Posth. 66); Grande Valse Brillante (Waltz Op.18); Nocturne (Op.15); Tristesse (Etude Op.10 No.3); Heroic Polonaise in A Flat Major, Op. 53).

right now, i really like this song. this a new song by MayDay (Wu Yue Tian), they’re a famous band in Taiwan and have released many albums over the year. as for this song, i like the music and the MV is pretty cool. they also have many songs that are mellow (in my opinion) which all of them was very good. one of them is titled wen rou (tenderness), which is my favourite. i’ll make a post about the song later.
ordered Eternal Sonata (ES) online, and it arrived 2 days ago (28 or 29 Sept, dont remember).
tried the game, and boy it was good. but this game can’t be installed to the HDD, so the game data must be read from the game disc 100%. hopefully it will not weaken my PS3 optic.
further update when i have finished the game…

when sony launches their new firmware 3.00 i also updated my system with the new firmware (cos i can’t go OL if i didn’t upgrade). but it turns out it created a new problem on its own!!! my DS3 controller stopped working!!!
i immediately search for a solution online (google) and it turns out there’s also people around the world also having the same problem. the problem only exist in some white DS3, which is said to be an imitation version of DS3. so i checked my DS3 and it turns out to be true 
my DS3 was not an original DS3 from sony. curse that game shop i bought my PS3 from, how can they gave me a fake DS3??? 
it also doesn’t have any warranty, so theres nothing i can do.
in the end i have to sell my RE5 to buy a new controller, it was because i can’t play PS3 without a controller (obviously).i have to buy a new black DS3 now, cos according to the seller (from a different game shop) the white DS3 has a high chance of it being a fake one. so decided not to take the risk, and bought a black DS3. i checked my new DS3, and thank god it was an original controller from sony.
about 2 or 3 weeks after RE5, i finally bought Valkyria Chronicles (VC). actually, i wanted to buy it sooner but i have to wait until payday to afford it.
again, this game costs Rp. 425.000 ($42.5) which puzzles me. cos last time RE5 was also $42.5 but it was a limited steelbook edition, how come it has the same price?well…whatever, all that matters is i have the game.
VC was a new type of game i’ve never played before. if’s a combination of tactic and action game, it gave a new type of genre on its own.
the story telling was also unique, it has a story book kind of feeling. and the graphics are in a cartoon style coloured with crayon.
this game kept me company for almost 3 weeks in the first playthrough because each battle can take up to 1 hour to win. not to mention if i fail a battle and have to restart.
i really like the story in VC, if starts as a simple fight to defend your hometown and then it escalates into a war for your country. the ending was also very satisfying, it doesn’t have any loose end.
